Ciggy Stardust
Not only am I a massive Bowie fan but I've always been fascinated by the simplicity and organisation of pixel art. I wanted to find a new expression of this art form in an original and unseen way. This project has taken over a year to plan and execute and consists out of 3600 Marlboro Gold cigarettes in a 60 by 60 mesh grid.
Pac-mini-Man
Ever noticed how city bricks resemble PacMan levels? No? Just me? Well, I decided to prove it. Armed with Fimo, a glue gun, I hit the streets.
Lichtfass Company
The inspiration for this idea came from a long-winded search to find the perfect lamp for our apartment. Thankfully we didn’t find what we were looking for, so we decided to make one ourselves. And just like that the Lichtfass lamp was born. We got so much positive feedback from friends and family that we decided to make a limited number of lamps to order. Our Lichtfass lamps we’re presented in stores in Düsseldorf and even New Zealand and were sold on three separate occasions by Monoqi which is the largest online design platform in Europe. I concepted and designed the product and brand identity and took all the photography.

The Logo
The Lichtfass Company logo was designed to have a very minimal and modern feel. The sharp edges and thick lines also help convey the industrial concept of the product. After seeing the letters L,F and C within the logo it leaves a lasting impression on the viewer.
Fuck Nuts
Together with a friend (who ironically turned into a bit of a FUCK NUT) we came up with the idea of this product - a limited edition, fun, sexy, aphrodisiac nut snack. It took just three months from the initial idea to launching the product. They were available online and in bars/hotels and fashion stores throughout Germany. But fuck it, all good things must come to an end.

Neon Flamingo
Rather than paying thousands for a gigantic neon sign, I decided to make my own. This piece is made from a wooden backboard, an 8m long pink neon LED tube and stands 2m tall.
Fimo PacMan
Inspired by the characters in Pac Man, I wanted to create my own interpretation of the 80’s classic. With Fimo, I moulded hundreds of individual elements and then let them bake hard in the oven. This was a surprisingly meditative project.

Warm Winter
An unusually warm winter down in Bavaria kept us away from the snow, but the sun was shining none the less and made for a perfect opportunity to get outside and take some snaps. These pictures were taken with an Olympus PEN camera with a 45mm f1.8 lens.
Sixty Wishes
This is a book I made with the help of my talented wife to celebrate my Mum turning 60. We invited sixty of her friends and family to contribute by writing a wish for her birthday. Each wish was accompanied by a candle that burn't down the further through the book you went.
